Kit

Kit Kit Kit

Admittance date: 20th November 2024

Kit was brought into us from Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue in Lincolnshire to be treated for mange, and also due to the fact that her blood results showed a slight issue with her liver, which she has been on a course of medication for. Will be getting her bloods tested prior to releasing her back, just to ensure that everything is normal. In the meantime she's enjoying two square meals a day in our a care in one of the outdoor pens.

06/12/24 update: unfortunately, following blood results, it seems as though liver enzyme levels are still a little high, and so Kit is still with us for the time being on more meds. However, this is just as well as we spotted a lump/wound on her right front paw and so she is also on a course of antibiotics/having her paw cleaned daily in the interim.

13/12 udpate: still undergoing antibiotics for her paw injury and also medication for her liver issue, Kit seems to be doing well. The wound on her paw is no longer swollen and it is now dry so it's just a case of finishing antibiotic course. We will have to take her back to the vets this next week in order to re-do bloods to test for liver function following her meds, so fingers crossed for her.

21/12 update: Kit has been passed back to Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue following further blood test results showing normal liver function. She's looking like a new fox following mange treatment and she's ready to go back home right in time for mating season.

Kit was released back into the wild on 21st December 2024
